Carbon Opus

Working with forged carbon fiber is a complex art that blends precision with innovation. This piece is the first of a series of new sculptures created from Alex’s original stainless steel pelagic sculpture designs.

Unlike traditional carbon fiber, its randomized fiber pattern requires meticulous control to shape and mold while maintaining its strength. The challenge lies in balancing the material's structural integrity with its unique visual texture, transforming it into a piece that is both technically advanced and aesthetically compelling.
